Rockford performed a complete renovation of this historically prominent eight-story building in Grand Rapids. Known as the "Steketee's Building," this building served the retail needs of the city for many years. With the exit of retailers from the downtown area, this large property sat empty for many years. The building is currently home to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, who made the decision to move from a suburban office environment to become part of the downtown neighborhood.
The Steketee's Building and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the US Green Building Council.
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Size: 50,000 sq. ft.

The building at 120 Ionia was the first in the Cherry Street Landing district to be renovated. The brick masonry building was sandblasted, cleaned, and stained to simulate its original color. The interior was completely refurbished to display the brick and woodwork of the original structure. Current tenants include: web developer, law firm, men's clothier, wholesaler, textile designer and a video production and marketing company.
